Passions

The days of totally separating our personal and professional lives are gone. People do business with people, and how we live our life matters. My personal passions are closely linked with how I like to do business, so I’d like to share a bit of ‘what makes me tick’.

It’ll be no surprise that I love dining out. I was once told ‘you have to learn to eat before you can learn to cook’. Absolutely true and relevant to so many things in life.

My favourite place right now? Sebb’s. An understated basement bar and restaurant with a DJ playing vinyl’s, and a simple menu of tasting sharing plates served with interesting cocktails.

I’m a ‘hands on’ person and love tackling a DIY project. For the last 3 years, I’ve taken on my very own ‘Grand Design’, and have been fully renovating a Victorian cottage in Glasgow’s Southside. It’s been a huge challenge, and is pretty much finished! That program should have a ‘caution’ message at the start… We captured our progress here.

Dogs! I mean what’s not to love. Tilly is our 4 year old black Labrador and site-guard dog. She’s a brilliant dog from the same breeder as our last dog – also a black Labrador.

Fitness! I didn’t get into fitness until around 10 years ago when I got hooked on Spin and circuit classes. Today, I enjoy a hybrid mix of cycling, walking and weights. A healthy body definitely helps you have a clearer, healthier, mind.
